Ki Season Starter Pack
I was sitting in the San Diego airport with my friend Taneisha waiting to go home while I was writing and I had SO MANY FEELS!!!!!
"I can't believe I really made it out here."
"This was such an experience."
"I had so much fun!!!"
"I'm so inspired."
"I don't want to leave!!!"
Just to name a few...
This trip was so necessary for where I am right now. As you know, I am in full #KiSeason mode. My birthday is next week and this is when the self evaluation kicks into high gear.
Being in San Diego put a lot of things into perspective for me though.
I felt closer to God here than I've felt at home in a while.
Everything felt simpler and looked clearer.
The trip just felt effortless and fun and I needed that right now.
A large part of that came from my travel buddies Taneisha and Morgan.
We originally came here because this was Taneisha's birthday trip. She wanted seafood and chill vibes and San Diego is perfect for both. Morgan lives in LA, so luckily it wasn't hard for her to get to us. They've been friends for years, but they didn't make me feel like a third wheel. They included me and made me feel apart of the crew which was so cool.
From Friday till Monday our days were packed with things to do and see. I will say that I didn't see a lot of 'us', but there were a lot of other people of color and it was dope to see how easily everyone interacts with one another.
Overall, this trip was just good vibes all around and I'm so happy I went.
Now to get ready for this Nas concert and this DC trip!
This was a great way to start off #KiSeason.
