It's a New Year!!
It's 2017 y'all!!
2016 was a trip, wasn't it?!?!
I'll try to keep this short, but I just have some things I need to get off of my chest.
*If you are a Christian living the life God has called you to, there will be people who do not like you.
We live in a post- Christian and flesh driven nation.
There is no getting around this fact.
*There are people who will call you names, cut you off, and talk about you crazy.
It is what it is. That does not mean that you stop doing what God told you to do. It means you grow a thicker skin, bury your head deeper in your Bible, and continue your work.
*You are not crazy for believing, trusting, and holding onto God.
*You're are not crazy for holding your brothers and sisters in Christ accountable for their actions. (There should be a difference between how you handle those who profess Christ and those who don't. Just saying.)
*You're not crazy for being open to friendships with people who don't believe in the same God you do.
*We are called to be light. To live our Christ-like lives OUT LOUD. You aren't Christ, so you will mess up, but that's what he died for and that's where grace comes in. It's about how you handle the aftermath of your mess up.
*Don't be a hypocrite.
Real recognize real all day, so BE REAL.
With yourself as well as everyone else.
*NO ONE EXPECTS PERFECTION. WE EXPECT NEVER ENDING GROWTH AND SELF AWARENESS.
Be able to take your L's with grace and humility.
In your friendships, family, or relationships. I've become very protective of my personal space and who and what I allow in it. You do not get to come into my space with unnecessary craziness.
I tried to keep it short, but I had a lot to say lol.
I pray that you take your next step this year.
That you take your leap of faith.
And through it all, you hold onto the vision God gave you and don't let it go.
